An event celebrating the publication of The Selected Writings of Jan Patočka in English translated by Alex Zucker.
It will feature the co-editor of the book Erin Plunkett from The University of Hertfordshire and the originator of the translation project Graham Henderson, CEO of the Rimbaud and Verlaine Foundation.
The COVID pandemic and the war in Ukraine have made the philosophical arguments of Patočka about Europe, civil society, and renewed forms of solidarity more important than ever.
Our speakers will offer their thoughts on Patočka and his contemporary relevance, followed by a discussion and Q&A.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase at a special reduced price; the colourful jacket, features a painting by the artist Hervé Constant.
Registration is free but space is limited. Please register for tickets via the link below to avoid disappointment.
In the meantime, you can read the foreword and introduction of the book for free at collection Point (codemantra.com)
