Prague 22 tram journey through the city

Join Raymond Tallis on this illustrated memoir of a daily journey on tram number 22 that links his flat in Vršovice and Prague Castle. Explore with him his observations encompassing the magic, culture and history as well as the tragedy of Prague, interwoven by his philosophical but also humorous reflections, and meet en route a host of prominent figures. This talk is based on Raymond’s book Prague 22: A Philosopher Takes A Tram Through a City published by Philosophy Now in 2025.

Raymond Tallis is a philosopher, poet, novelist and cultural critic, and has published widely on philosophical topics, but prior to his retirement was Professor of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Manchester and was elected Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences in recognition of his contribution to medical research.

This event will take place in person and will also be livestreamed
